I followed the manual instructions for installation, and used Nova to upload everything to domain's root (using dreamhost vps, apache, and php 7.4). I made sure all the hidden files made it too, and then recursively applied 755 permissions to everything inside the root of my domain.

The main 'Welcome' page shows up, and the rest of the boilerplate site works, but clicking 'Sign In' or manually navigating to '/dashboard' gives me an empty html page.

Anything I did wrong?

onechrisjones Hi, what version did you install? There is an ongoing discussion here in forum to collect issues with the latest compatibility upgrades to the address breaking changes in PHP 8.1. Those changes also might affect older PHP versions as well.

In case you are not yet on the latest version you will have to install the latest release.

I have 1.10.8 installed, and it looks like that is the latest version... am I wrong bout that?

Just tried with 1.10.5, and got the same thing. onechrisjones.me/dashboard is empty page... and none of the other pages seem to be working either.

onechrisjones Hi, I can see that you get a 500 error on the dashboard. It is difficult to say why, since the server basically doesn't respond. However, I am sure it has to do with the latest fixes and therefore you could rollback to version 1.10.2 and it should be fine. That version is not compatible with PHP 8.1 and since you use 7.4 it should be fine.

mad just installed 1.9.4 and it works...

should I just wait to update for a while?

onechrisjones If it is now working for you, it should be ok to wait a bit. So far I could not reproduce any issues with 1.10.8 on several systems. However, it is not as stable as long-term tested as 1.9.4.

You could try one last time to enable debugging and then upgrading to 1.10.8 in order to identify the issue with the latest version and give feedback here. Any kind of testing is always appreciated.
