Hi, I'm trying sort by latest post first. This sorts by oldest post first: <@ newPagelist { type: 'children', context: @{ '/blog' }, filter: @{ ?filter }, search: @{ ?search }, sort: @{ ?sort | def('date desc') }, limit: @{ itemsPerPage | def(10) }, page: @{ ?page | def(1) } } @> This also sorts by oldest post first: <@ newPagelist { type: 'children', context: '/blog', sort: 'date desc' } @> This also sorts by oldest post first: sort: 'date asc' And this also sorts by oldest post first: sort: 'date' I cant find all available options for "sort:" in the docs. So Im stuck. All input appreciated. Cheers!

andkav Hi there, using date desc is correct. Is the date variable actually defined in your posts?

andkav Hi, yes it is. But since it is possible to create pages with a text editor, I wanted to be sure first. And I couldn’t find anything wrong in your first two examples. Looks all good. Do you have caching disabled? And does sorting work in the standard themes?

I looked at a the blog .txt file on server, it does not contain a specific date variable. Is it supposed to? Or is date derived from the folder creation date?

andkav Since the last version, the date is created when adding a page. In older versions it was required to add a date manually. Which version are you running?

andkav Hey cool!

Actually the current version is 1.5.4 already. The project moved to GitHub last year and there was a grace period of about a year to update and get the updater connected correctly to the new location. It might be too late already, but you can also update manually once in order to get updates in the future using the dashboard again.

It’s basically downloading the zip file and replacing every directory except pages and shared.

andkav Yes, they will work, but they won’t support new features like the block editor. Just make sure you rename the standard directory before updating to keep your changes when running updates.
