Hi Marc, I am impressed with your work on Automad and after months of reading your tutorials, the discussions and of course testing locally, my new website is now (almost) live. As a newbie I still have some issues and hope that you can point me in the right direction (or some other experienced forum user). I have disabled the search option globally (under 'General Data and Files' I cleared the field 'Url Search Results' as you mentioned in another discussion). This works fine, except that on one page , where I have used the 'Sidebar Right Template' the Menu Icon (top right) is replaced by the search icon the search icon and when I click on that search icon, 'nothing' is being displayed (because search is disabled), which is confusing for the visitor. So, I believe that somewhere the search icon in the menu does not get hidden for the 'Sidebar Right Template', when search is disabled globally. Or am I doing something wrong? Best regards, Frank

Frank Hi Frank, you have done it all right. It‘s a bug in the template. A fix for the search icon will be shipped with the next version. It will still take a couple of weeks until the release though. As a temporary fix you could hide it with some custom CSS in the "Items Header" variable.

Thank you Marc, I figured that this could be the case. If it will be fixed in your next release I probably do not even need a temporary fix at the moment. Especially since I usually know that I am in over my head as soon as I read 'custom CSS'... 😅
