No. To minimize any possible issues, I've placed myself in /var/www/html and then used
composer create-project automad/automad
Then I've renamed the folder "automad" to "rogeriod.com", so that all files are in the public html folder (/var/www/html/rogeriod.com/). I have also changed ownership of all files/directories to www-data and permissions to 755.
When I access http://rogeriod.com/dashboard I get the message to enable Javascript.
