Everyone I agree that it includes some funny translations. The translation are made by an AI that constantly improves. However, contributions can’t be a solution for the following reasons:
- Between releases the UI changes, sometimes a lot. Translations must keep up with that pace as well. They simply have to be shipped together without waiting.
- Possible contributions would only cover one or two languages. Not a general solution.
I think it is good that there is a system in place, even though it is not perfect — yet. Translations made by AI will get better and better. The key is here that it is automatically done and therefore always aligned with the releases.
