I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoy using this CMS! I have been looking for a flat file cms for some years, and the resent 2 CMS-es has been Grav and October CMS. They are both good in their own way, but I was missing a really simple cms that was block based. And then I found Automad, and must say you have done a really great job making the process of creating a good looking, a really fast and good experience.
I have one comment I would like to share, and that is the fact that the default template and the default site (that comes installed), the frontpage is overriding the template instead of using the dark theme. It took mi quite some time to figure out why changing to the light theme, the frontpage was still dark. I think you should consider using a clean template for the example frontpage, and not overriding the template.

Now, when I figured this out, I really enjoy this CMS. The best I have found for simple sites!
