Lz127 Hi, I guess there is a misunderstanding how caching works. You can only disable page caching as described above the toggle in the cache settings in the dashboard. The image cache is something totally unrelated, works very different, is essential for the system and can't be disabled at all. Images that are resized by templates such as a logo have to be stored somewhere in order to prevent resizing them on every request.
As Everyone has been pointing out correctly, messing with files in the cache directory might break the site. Outdated images are invalidated by the caching engine automatically when a user updates an image.
To reset the cache please follow these steps:
- Enable page caching again
- Scroll down on the cache settings page and hit the purge button in order remove all cached images
In case the logo still doesn't show up, it could still be the case that the web server is not able to resize or even read the image correctly. That all depends on how the image was saved by you. The best in that case would be to try other settings when exporting or saving the PNG file.
