I tried to get a page list that consists of pages with a specific url part, but I'm unable to do this neither by code nor by a page list block. I get either all of the pages on the website or none. Can somebody point me to a working piece of code? Because the documentation doesn't do me any good here. Speaking of which, what are the hashtags for? As far as I know, they don't have any special meaning in regex.
Everyone Hi there. I agree that it is not really great documented. Therefore I hope I can explain here a bit how the regex filter work:
Filter Pagelist By Url
Show All Pages In Pagelist
Hope that helps! 🙂
Ok, so I have a testing page with url: /testing/page-list-test
with subpages red, green, blue.
What am I missing?
Everyone Hi, I have quickly tested the same scenario. I can’t reproduce the issue here unfortunately. The pages are filtered as expected. I have to investigate more to be able to reproduce that issue.
What environment are you using?
mad I noticed that the block editor page list will display only pages not hidden in navigation, that's why I could get no pages to display. Once they were allowed in navigation, everything worked as expected.
This, however, raises an issue - if I wanted to include a page list (from block editor) of pages that I don't want to have in navigation, then I can't do it. Maybe that's something to consider in future release?
Everyone Ok, cool. I will add an option to include hidden pages as well.
Everyone I have just released a patch including the option to include hidden pages.
