How to control the excerpt below each tile on a Blog post

Is there a way to write our own excerpt to appear below each tile / image at the bottom of a Blog template page?

The text that appears seems to a reader to be a bit random. I'll like to be able to write a short sentence that summarises the page, or use the meta description to appear there instead 👇

john Hi, it is possible only by changing the template of the cards. The template uses just the first paragraph of the page as excerpt. But you can change the "blog" block template to use any other variable instead.

Many thanks. Where do I find the place where I can change this variable, please? I have no experience editing templates yet!

john Hey, you can find the blog template in your installation directory under:

/packages/standard/templates/blocks/pagelist/blog.php

You can delete line 27 and replace @{ :teaser } with some other variable in line 28.
And please duplicate the standard package before to avoid losing your changes when performing updates.
