New Pages creating duplicates

When creating a new page in the dashboard often I'm getting a duplicate page created with "-1" appended to the name.
The same duplicate page folder can be seen in my IDE.
I delete the duplicate page in the dashboard (the one with the ""1 " appended to the name) and we're all good.

Except this time it deleted the duplicate in the dashboard but in my IDE the original is gone and the duplicate with -1 is left. Now I'm having to reference "services-1" for the nav to work and this seemas messy and buggy.

I cannot rename the folder in my IDE.

Any ideas how to fix?

maakbow Hi, I have noticed that Windows has issues with file locks when opening a project in any IDE. Therefore it could cause you some trouble deleting or moving pages in the dashboard at the same time.

Ok thanks
So I shut the server and iDE down and went in and changed the folder in windows.
Then restarted and changed the reference to the folder to what it should be. It all looks good and works sweet

maakbow No need to shut down the server and do it manually. You only have to make sure that the files are not locked by any program when using the dashboard. This has by the way nothing to do with the cms but applies to all programs on Windows. Unlike Unix based system, Windows doesn’t allow overwriting, moving or deleting files and folders that are open in another program or previewed in the explorer.
