Yikes! Site breaks after 45 pages!

Everything has gone perfectly, until I add a 45th page to the site. Once added, the Data & Settings are not accessible. I just get the spinning icon telling me to wait. I wait, but nothing happens.

I have another Automad site with 65 pages and no problems. I'm wondering whether there's a problem with this one particular site having more than a certain number of pages all as parents?

Do I need to start producing some children for the site to work?

john Hi, difficult to say what the issue is here. For sure it has nothing to do with the number of pages. 45 pages is really nothing. You can check yourself the amount of memory used in the dashboard on the landing page to verify. Just click the More button. Can you visit the page outside the dashboard? What does the debugging log say?

Sadly, I no longer have access to the conditions that caused the problem, because I needed to add new pages, so I started moving pages to become children. That immediately solved the problem.

Sadly, I had not selected debugging mode before fixing the problem or seeing this message.

I know the system can cope with thousands of pages, but I wonder whether there are sites with many parent pages?

john Good to know it works now for you. Technically I see no difference between parent pages and children concerning the maximum amount.
