500 internal error when upload .htaccess

Hi Mad,

Firs of all, thank you for developing Automad. It's an amazing product.

I'm having a problem when trying to install Automad: it works well without the .htaccess file, but when I upload it to my server, I get a "500 Internal error" message and can't use Automad.

I've tried to use multiple servers, to check if it was a problem with Apache, but the error persists. I also tried using GIT instead of FTP, but didn't have any luck.

What could I do to solve this problem?

P.S. I'm not a very technical person, but I'm happy to provide any info you need so we can sort this out.

frbn Hi there! The .htaccess only takes care of the pretty URLs. It contains quite some standard stuff. It's difficult to say why it doesn't work on your server. Did you try it locally on XAMPP or similar?

Managed to solve it. Had to delete the PHP lines of the .htaccess. Hope there's no problem in doing that.
