Automad 1.6.0 is out!

I’m very happy to announce the release of Automad 1.6.0! 🍾🥂
The dashboard got quite a redesign and some cool new blocks have been added to the block editor!

Please i wish to understand. After building a themes where are they going to be reused ? I mean are the themes only to be used in Automad or only in Flat file CMS ?
Also what does one need as basics skills to get started ?
I admit being in Africa and am looking for something I can train people to help others Develop online presence and earn income along the lines.

The themes CSS and JS will work in any system — the actual PHP template only works in Automad. I think basic development skills combined with a minimal understanding of CSS should be a good start. The template language that is used in a theme is quite simple and you can find a lot in the docs about how to use it.

mad i admit not having any knowledge in we development and don’t even know where to start looking for help.
But am whiling to follow any guidelines you may give me.

mcsteann Hi, I think all the existing guidelines for development for this system here require a minimal understanding of all the required workflows. However using the system should still be possible as a beginner. That would be a start.

mcsteann You can find a lot of information in the official docs. Note that those docs expect a minimum understanding of the topic though.
