Local Installation (MAMP) packagist couldn't load

Hello together,

I'm new to automad and I will test it on a local installation with MAMP. But the packages won't loaded. The packages couldn't load from packagist is the info that is show.

Can someone help?

MD1986 Hi there, it is difficult to understand the issues without knowing the error message. But I guess your PHP version is missing the cURL library. Both, packages and updates, require cURL to be available.

the error message is following:

Es kann keine Verbindung zum Update-Server hergestellt werden! Dies kann normalerweise durch eine falsche Update-Konfiguration (config.json), einen SSL-Zertifikatfehler oder eine fehlende cURL-Bibliothek verursacht werden.

And:

Pakete von Packagist konnten nicht geladen werden!

I have check with phpinfo() if cURL is enabled and yes it is.

MD1986 Ok, since you’re using MAMP locally and cURL is installed, then there is an issue with missing certificates as the error message states. It’s actually not an issue related to the CMS. If you’re MAMP installation doesn’t provide the correct SSL certificates, it is impossible to establish a secure connection.
The best would be to properly configure your local environment or directly use an alternative to MAMP like XAMPP.
