How to change the page title and the header logo

Hello community, must be a bit tricky, because i looked everywhere in my control panel. I can not find anything to change the page title (My Site) and the header logo. Is there anything left that I'm missing?

Site name: Go to "General Data & Settings" and change the site name.

Logo: Go to "General Data & Settings" and change the "Brand" variable.

Is there a way to change the logo height? In the logo height field I have entered different values and the logo appearance doesn't change. It remains too small.

john Hi, yeah that field is actually taking care of that, but the logo is limited in size to fit the navbar. I think it is possible though to add some custom CSS to change that.

I am still not clever enough to "add some custom CSS". Is there still no way for a stupid person to fix this problem?

Is there still no way in 2023 for a stupid person to make the logo bigger? (ie. some pre-created "Custom CSS" that an uneducated person like me can be told where to paste).

This problem is the one great disappointment that is preventing me from recommending Automad to many clients. I just can't satisfactorily answer the question: "Why does my logo look so small, naff and unreadable? John, you're the one who tells me how important brand recognition is and you give us a tiny little logo that no-one can read? No, thanks. Please switch us back to Wordpress. We would rather take all the risks associated with having our site be hacked and our plugins constantly conflict and the site need constant maintenance... At least our site users can actually read our name on the logo".

(PS. I stopped subscribing / being a "donor" or whatever it's called, out of disappointment and sadness, because of this very conspicuous failing with Automad.)

john If you actually have "clients", which indicates that you sell your services, then you should be really concerned about the quality of the service you provide and your lack of skill in something as basic for website development as Cascaded Style Sheets. The time you waste here complaining could be much better used on buffing that skillset to be less reliable on every detailed feature that a CMS does or does not provide. The fact that you use or even donate to open source software does not mean that you're entitled to demand anything, this includes being spoonfed ready to use solutions. This article was written with people like you in mind.

I also would like to add that there are roughly 100 pages of documentation that are just waiting to be read. That would be a great start.

The demanding attitude in this thread as well as similar issues I see in other projects are at least irritating. In many cases these kind of conversations are the reason why maintainers abandon projects.

With all respect, I really wonder if some people can imagine, how much energy and dedication is required to run an open source project for many years.

Why should we developers work unpaid at night and on weekends in order to produce value for other business owners? And I mean unpaid even though some people donate a few dollars.

This ridiculously small amounts of donations take you nowhere in a professional environment. Demanding unpaid work and support for one’s own business shows a really interesting attitude.

Dear Anyone,

If anyone is able to give me clear written instructions that can be implemented by a completely untrained, uneducated person, on how to increase the logo size without breaking the site or damaging the menu, I'd be happy to show my appreciation by donating USD 200 to them or their favourite charity.

Sorry to take this topic out of the depths of the internet, but I can't, in any way, change the size of the logo I'd like to show on my website.

Automad 1.10.9

I'm using the standard Light theme, which as a bunch of Template Settings, among them is a Logo Height that has no effect (I already emptied the Brand field).
Trying to understand the content of the dist/standard.min.css file, nothing seems to apply to the size of the logo or navbar.
Trying to change this using the developer tool of my (chromium based) browser, can't find the suitable properties (navbar, uk-navbar, their parents or children).
Modifying, for example, the html/css/template-language in templates/elements/navbar.php doesn't either change anything ( { height: @{ logoHeight | def (40) } } )

Changing the logo is the first thing I try to do ; I can't imagine building anything until I understand the basic steps.
Can anyone help about this ?
