Hi, I have deployed Automad 1.2.5 live on my www.binero.se account.
But unfortunately I'm experiencing very slow page loads when logged in as admin (both in Dashboard and Public pages).
Caching is on.
When not logged in everything runs great.
Input appreciated, thanks!
andkav Hi, sorry to hear that you experience that. What kind of hardware do you have there and do you have the same issues when installing locally?
Installing locally works (see thread https://discuss.automad.org/d/121-new-dev-environment-move-entire-site/2).
Im not able to find specific info about the hw used at Binero. This all the info I can find:
andkav Ok, I see. They probably have a lot of sites running on one single machine since it’s shared hosting. And additionally they also may have a slow file system. I think there’s nothing you can do about. How long does it take to load a page in average?
It takes 60 seconds or more. (made a typo in first publish of this post...🙂 )
Now that I look more in detail - loading the site/dashboard is fast. But on the dashboard it takes long time to load "caching status" + "automad version". This has to load before I can navigate to another page.
Once the page I clicked on is loaded it takes about 60s+ to load the contents / fields of the page
Ok, 60+ seconds is extremely long. I’ve never experienced that. Normally those things should be hardly noticeable. And apparently it only affects AJAX requests.
Yes, it weird. I will contact Binero support.
andkav Yes, I think that’s a good idea! Good luck!
andkav I've just installed Automad this evening on Binero and experience exactly the same thing. The demo site is fine and fast, but the dashboard takes ages to finish loading. Exactly like you said, the cache and version need to finish loading before I can do anything else (and it takes over a minute). Did you work out a solution to this?
Hey, no didn't find any solution for Binero. I actually switched to Cloudways.com - quick and easy to setup. Goodbye bulky, old school admin dashboards. And performance is great.
Thanks for the info! I'll try out Automad on another host :-)
